efms CD ROM Migration Review 1999 In 1997, the efms published the handbook "Migration und Integration in Zahlen" (Migration and Integration in Numbers) on behalf of the Commissioner of the Federal Government for Foreigners' affairs, which was based on the efms research project Migration and Integration in numbers launched in 1993. As an update to this handbook, the efms published in 2000 the efms Migration Review 1999 which was also commissioned by the Federal Commissioner. The first CD ROM containing the handbook has also been updated. The new CD contains:

europäisches forum für migrationsstudien (ed.), Harald W. Lederer (Author). Migrationsbericht 1999 / Migration Review 1999. Approx. 460 MB (German and English) with 45 tables and 30 figures plus all relevant law texts (in German). In addition all contents of the Migration Report 1995-1999 and the data of the first efms CD-ROM.

• The complete publication efms Migration Review 1999 in German and English,
• all data contained in first CD-ROM that is no longer available,
• all law texts quoted in the publication,
• The German Foreigners' Law (as of August 2000) and other German law texts relevant for migration issues, i.e. the current regulations for the so-called "Green Card",

The CD is not only a digitalised version of the printed publication, but offers also electronic features an optimal use:

• It contains hyperlinks to further relevant passages in the text and to the complete law texts. This makes it possible for the user to switch to interesting topics within the text, to bookmark them or to insert comments.
• Tables and illustrations can be printed out on individual pages and can therefore be used for presentations (e.g. in colour as overhead slides).
• The CD provides fast navigation tools via the index or a full text search.
• A convenient navigator in accordance with professional standards (Adobe Acrobat)can also be found on the CD, which can be used with the most common operating systems (MS Windows 3.1, Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Apple MacIntosh, UNIX, LINUX).
