efms CD-ROM Migration Review 1999

In 1997, the efms published for the German Federal Commissioner for Foreigners' Affairs a handbook titled "Migration und Integration in Zahlen", which was based on the efms research project Statistical Reports on Migration and Integration launched in 1993. As an update to this handbook, the efms published in 2000 the efms Migration Review 1999 which was also commissioned by the Federal Commissioner. The first CD ROM which contained the handbook has also been updated. The new CD contains: The complete publication efms Migration Review 2000 in German and English language, all data of the sold out first CD-ROM, all law texts quoted in the publication, The German Foreigners' Law (as of August 2000) and other German law texts revelant for migration issues, i.e. the current regulations for the so-called "Green Card", All issues of the efms Migration Report 1994-1999 in German and English language.

This CD contains not only the full print version of the publication "Migration und Integration in Zahlen", but offers in addition all features of electronic publications:

• It contains references (hyperlinks) to other relevant sections of the text and to the respective law texts. They allow to easily switch to other relevant information within the publication and to set book marks and add own comments.
• Tables and charts can be printed out for presentations in best quality (i.e. in colour for overhead projection slides).
• The CD offers fast navigation via index and full text search.
• A professional reader featuring all convenient functions (Adobe Acrobat ) for most operating systems (MS Windows 3.1, Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Apple MacIntosh, UNIX, LINUX) is included.

You can order the CD at the efms at a price of EUR 25.- (private individuals) and EUR 40.- (institutions) plus EUR 5.- (outside Germany) for handling, packaging and postage. Please direct orders and any questions to the efms secretary.
